beartooth pass

leaving yellowstone and winding up up up into the mountains, we reached the beartooth pass. a place so many had told us would be amazing... yet we were still in awe. incredibly snowy mountains as far as the eye can see, lining the horizon. eight to twenty foot tall snow banks. the road carved into the snow. and best of all, amazingly steep and long hills to be sledded. in july!

this photo was taken after out first sledding adventure as my brother and our friend melissa took advantage of the snow banks to make some upright snow angels!
