Open Wide!

These young House Martins were in an artificial nestbox on the side of the St Cyrus visitor centre. This was a lucky shot with the adult coming in to feed them! Here's a photo of them in more peaceful pose. There were a lot of different butterflies on the walk down to the beach (including a fabulous Dark Green Fritillary which kept whooshing past us and not settling at all!) and these cute little Small Heaths. All in all a fabulous day out!
