Peace & Quiet

After all the excitement of yesterday, today has been very peaceful. When the afternoon was at its hottest, Molly went to rest in the shade of the pampas grass, one of her favourite spots.

This is the same place she went to during the piping yesterday afternoon. The two inserts are from yesterday and show the piper (one of my old school friends) and Molly being comforted by Mrs Holly. In the event, she did not need comforted - she took this strange new sound very calmly. You could almost say that she ignored it - perhaps reflecting her English birth!
