Bash bash bash

Ben found his pegs the other day. He has to ask for his hammer though, it's way too dangerous leaving that out in his toybox! Bad enough that he has drumsticks easily accessible... ;) He asked for his hammer again today. These days he has an added challenge of telling me what colour peg he's going to bash before he attacks it with gusto (usually a single blow sends it all the way down). Here he is just over a year ago, doing much the same thing...

Been a day of two halves. Last night I lost everything I'd eaten since about 7.30pm. Waited too long before eating anything, and had exhausted myself as well. So about 10.30pm everything came back up and there was a lot of it and it wasn't pleasant. Anyway I slept fairly well after that, and Ben and I had a lie in this morning as well. Spent all morning trying to get going, eventually headed out to tesco for milk at gone midday which turned out to be a mistake as by the time we got home I was shattered again and hungry and feeling sick again! Evidently I did FAR too much yesterday. I really do take my health for granted. And I've not learnt from the pacing myself lessons of a couple of weeks ago. Feeling good? DON'T OVERDO IT!!!

Spent the afternoon sleeping. Ben came up with me, decided he wanted to watch the rest of his film (I think he might have been watching "Wall-E", I forget which one he was watching now), and came up and climbed into bed with me a little later. I don't think he watched it to the end. I was still awake when he came back up anyway!

We've also entered the "Why?" period of toddler development. Thankfully he doesn't seem to expect an answer and actually when I do answer (as is my adult thing to do, answer a question when asked) it just prompts another "why?" but if I say nothing and act as if he's not asked a question he doesn't press the issue.

I don't feel like I'm going to lose tonight's tea :) This is good. Steve's out, and the drums have just been put to bed, and now it's pretty much time for Ben and me to head up to bed as well. Proper tired! If Ben goes to sleep easily I might have a bath before going to bed myself...

Up early in the morning. Got another diabetic / antenatal appointment at 9.15am and Ben's being dropped off to play with a friend in the morning before I go off for my appointment. It's an early one. I must remember to take plenty of food with me, the clinic is notorious for running over and I'm always starving by the time I'm let out again. Swimming in the afternoon too - think I might try and have a nap with him before swimming if we manage an early lunch!
