Starkers
After asking me to take his picture drumming this morning because he was so pleased that we'd found his drumsticks last night, I've gone for something a little bit different!
Hayley took Ben into town this morning while I went to the hospital for my regular diabetic eye screening. It was so sunny when I got back out that even with my sunglasses and big floppy sunhat I walked into town to meet Hayley and Ben with my eyes mostly shut!
After home and some lunch we went out to Ede's house to play. Apparently Ede had been asking for Ben this morning, and yesterday Ben was asking to play with Ede as well so it was a sorted afternoon! We arrived and Ede was completely starkers. So of course even though it was a bit breezy Ben was only too happy to strip off. He's still got a cut on his foot though so he had to wear his wetshoes - which meant Ede wanted to wear his wetshoes as well. So the both of them were running around the garden butt naked apart from their wetshoes, jumping in and out of the paddling pool, throwing footballs around, .... and running into the house with their wet shoes on and shouting "one! two! three! GO!" and running back out again :) Cheeky monkeys :)
From Ede's house it was off to band practise for me. (With my crew, of course. I am taking a LONG time to learn anything technical because of being married to a techie. I need him to come along to band practise because I am so useless at most things technical!) Ben wanted a cuddle before we'd even started singing and within two songs he was fast asleep in my arms, head on my shoulder. A couple of songs later and he finally allowed himself to be transferred to Steve's shoulder, and spent the rest of the session asleep on Steve on the sofa!
Of course he woke up when it was time to go, but we had plenty of time to not go manic because we needed to go to the shop and to get diesel and only then could we go home. Ben's had cereal for tea and we've had some bean casserole (it's sausage casserole really but it's mainly beans I think) and now it's time for us ALL to go to bed. Ben's rubbing his eyes again thankfully. Good old Chuggington sending us all sleepy again.
G'night blipworld :)
