Craigmillar Castle

Rain or no the school trip went ahead and armed with wellies and rain coats we descended on Craigmillar Castle. Children from the nearby school were our guides and they did a fantastic job in bringing the castles history alive. Due to the rain we were allowed to eat in the Great Hall and the children stoically embraced all the activities. I was so cold and damp and desperate for a cup of tea! When we got home Murron and I quickly put some dry clothes on, made hot chocolate and snuggled up on the sofa.
