Happy Holiday

Today was a hectic day at work but the little team I work in knuckled down and got the job done, which was very satisfying.

Tonight was quite nice too - I paid the balance of mine and the girls holiday in the summer!

I can't wait and nor can the girls

(as my holiday on the Isle of Whithorn in 2010 was ruined on day 2 when the ex decided that was the ideal opportunity to tell me he wanted out....it took him another 4 months to admit about the other woman)

When I moved out I was feeling sad about the things I couldn't do with my girls anymore and one of them was no more holidays in cottages by the sea because I don't drive!

So, determined that my girls would never miss out on the things they love - I got out a map of the train lines that go from my local station and followed the line until I got to the sea!

It wouldn't be isolated and it wouldn't be a fortnight but I knew that I could take the girls on the train to Scarborough so thought I would just take a look for a cottage. A look wouldn't do any harm would it?

I Googled - and the first result said "ideal for a car free holiday" I have NEVER seen that description before! I believe in fate - so it seems that Seaside Cottage Scarborough was our destiny!

I don't like flying, not bothered about the sun... I just want to be able to do nice things with my girls every day and walk on the beach with them every night. That's what a holiday means to me :)

So, holiday balance paid (before it was due!) - and when I looked at the date that I booked it, turns out it was 6 months to the day exactly.

How time flies!
