Bitter Sweet

Jeanne got her End of Term Achievement award today - she was so proud in the special assembly.

It was a secret so I sneaked in and both the girls spotted me and it was one of those bitter sweet moments as a mum because I knew that Evie would be thinking she had won the award - she was really disapointed not to have won and we had tears.

We had a big chat and I reassured her that her teachers know what a good girl she is and how she tries her best all the time - and that she can't win every half term!

Jeanne was very sensitive and didn't boast about it - and we all went to Pizza Hut in Manchester to celebrate the award and Lily being home and after Eve had a trip to Ice Cream factory and a taste of my selection she had cheered up - Jeanne has stuck her certificate over the mantlepiece so everyone who visits can see it.

It was a late night and we were all falling asleep on the train home. The house is quiet now :)
