Back blip, Blea Tarn and sorry
Sorry I haven't been around to comment on any journals. I have been very busy.
I did manage to visit the Langdales in Cumbria on Saturday afternoon, with a group of other photographers, but it was a very wet day. Most of our photographs are covered in rain spots.
This is Blea Tarn taken in the only light to show that afternoon. It happened just after I had put my tripod away - very, very annoying since I had just spent quite a bit of money on a new carbon fibre 3 legged thing named Eddie (can't believe I fell for the marketing hype but I do think I deserve a decent tripod threeleggedthing). So this is it: an F8 handheld shot, taken at the last minute, with very cold wet hands - inside a plastic bag.
Earlier in the afternoon I dropped my polarizer in a river but since I was wearing my wellies and a set of waterproofs, I waded in to get it. I don't think I lost anything else. A couple of people in the group slipped on the wet rocks and hurt themselves. At least I got home without spilling any blood.
