Rhododendron ??

Is this a rhododendron? I am useless with flowers, bushes, trees etc.

I could not concentrate on photography or take many photographs today. On Tuesday afternoons I often go out for a short walk with my sister and her grandchildren. This week we went to Duxbury Wood, near Chorley in Lancashire but took the rather difficult path on a steep embankment. Letting go of the young children to take photographs just wasn't an option.

The wood is classed as a ancient semi-native woodland and it is a very beautiful place. The River Yarrow runs through it.

We watched a crow chase after a heron.
