shoes take 2

After yesterdays sandal fiasco we went to Reigate today to look for some startrite ones to fit Amelie properly. I like the mothercare silver ones but would rather she had proper fitted ones for walking longer distances (ridiculous I would happily pay £30 for a pair of fitted sandals for her when I spend most of my time in cheap shoes!). So we went to the shop and the girl said that they didn't do sandals in a G but they tended to be a little wider than Clarks. Amelie tried on a pink pair with a velcro strap across the toes and although she probably could have done with them being wider, the velcro bit means we can make them a little wider for her and they were a good fit. And half price at £15! Huzzah! I shall blip them tomorrow. And because I couldn't resist we ordered a pair of doodles for her as well. (I did get in trouble with Daddy though for this, shouldn't have bought the silver ones in haste yesterday)

After the shoe buying we wandered around and Amelie ended up with a new owl lunchbag too! Daddy's treat. Very useful if we go out anywhere for the day or travelling places. It had to be an owl because The Keen Family think that Amelie looks like an owl!

Once we were home Amelie paraded around in her new sandals for a bit, enjoyed some chicken soup and bread for dinner and had a long and very amusing phone conversation with Granny in Scotland.
