Pirate Party

This afternoon was Dominic's 7th BD party and it was a pirate theme. His dad has been friends with my husband since college when they used to work together at Montgomery Ward. That was 17 years ago! We were happy to celebrate with them. They've been going through such a tough time since his wife has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer and is currently enduring chemotherapy. I'm sure it was nice to celebrate their oldest son's birthday and get their minds off of what they are going through. All of the kids had a blast. What child wouldn't be happy when given pirate swords to play with, musical chairs competition, and party games. The last party game saw Landon and Dominic neck and neck in competition trying to pop the opponents balloon that is hanging by a string off of their leg. Although I captured a lot of pix today, I chose this one of my hubby humoring me with a swashbuckler mask. :D
