Bouquet's Other Side
These Mother's Day flowers are staying lovely. I'm sure the mild weather we're enjoying is helping. This bouquet was blipped two days ago from the other angle. Today I stood near the draperies to aim toward the piano and a couple more of our Susan Rios paintings. Rios is one of our favorite artists.
I work from home most Wednesdays, so the blip opportunities were not outstanding today, but I have accomplished a lot of grading, completed an hour of online office time, and sent numerous emails to students. I still have more grading to do this evening to be ready for tomorrow's classes, but I'll get it done.
I am currently grading some in-class essays and I have been surprised and disappointed. Several students who appear to be completely disengaged from the class have written thoroughly developed, effectively organized essays. Many others just didn't prepare and they were told previous to the project that a good score on this essay would pull them from a less than passing score for the semester. I guess they don't care. Several of my re-entry adult students have been very complimentary and thoroughly expressive about their excitement at improving their writing skills.
Mr. Fun, Chloe, Mitzi, and Max are napping now after the evening meal, so I'm going to take these quiet moments to read a few more student essays.
Good night from Southern California.
Rosie (& Mr. Fun, and Chloe, Mitzi, and Max), aka Carol
