Tour group

Sunday was the last day of our fast trip to Philadelphia. Before heading back to Ohio, we took time for a visit to Arcadia University in suburban Philadelphia. That's where I was a student when I met Bob, and it is always fun to go back for a visit, although it doesn't happen very often.

Our visit coincided (much to my surprise) with the spring open house for prospective students. My grandson had recently been assigned by one of his teachers to research a potential college, and he chose Arcadia. The timing of our visit couldn't have been better, and I had a wonderful time giving our group the grand tour. As we wound up the tour, I asked them all to arrange themselves for a group photo, so we could remember the occasion. The building in the background is "Grey Towers", the "centerpiece" of the campus, and it is a real castle modeled after a castle somewhere in England. When I was a student, I took piano lessons in one of the turrets of the castle.

At the end of our tour, we headed back to Ohio. What had been a perfect spring morning in Philadelphia, within a few hours of driving, turned into a cool rainy afternoon and evening. We left spring behind, but it was nice while it lasted.
