After bidding farewell to our friends, it was a day of details: correcting some accounts after a slapped wrist from Companies House over some technical mistakes (my fault - company secretarial stuff is my work, Mr B does the numbers); then a series of calls and emails to France to try and make sure we have a phone service, insurance, electricity and water when we move into our rented place. And trying to set things up so that the artisans can start work on the place we're buying as soon as we've bought it. All very complicated.

An afternoon snooze was needed after all that, and a slide into evening with a simple dinner and Raiders of the Lost Ark on the telly.

Here's a cast iron pillar top decoration. I was trying to learn a bit more about converting to black and white by mucking around with this to bring out more of the detail. Not sure I achieved what I really wanted, but a useful learning experience.
