Cake
Bookbug this morning for H and I. We were running late, and just as I burst through the door of the library, I had a sudden feeling that it was off for the Easter holidays, but luckily everyone was there and just about to start.
After the library, we nipped to Tesco to do the weekly shopping and then home for lunch. Whilst H was having her afternoon nap, I tried my hand at baking a cake. It's probably only about the 5th time I have actually baked something. It turned out not too bad! It's a Raspberry Bakewell Cake. Considering I had to substitute a few ingredients, didn't have the right size of cake tin, and had no idea which attachment to use to mix it in my food processor (which I had to dig out from the back of the cupboard and clean because it has only been used twice), I think I did a good job. It tastes yummy too.
H and I then spent the afternoon in the local park where she wanted to go up the chute repeatedly, but wouldn't go on the swings. Her favourite bit was running up to anyone in sight on the way there to say "hiya" and wave at them from close range.
