Views from Loughrigg

We set out to walk up the hillside from the cottage to explore the locality. The weather got better and better and the views were spectacular in the sunshine. We joined the morbidly named Coffin route and decided to continue walking after joining and crossing the main road. Loughrigg Fell is not very high but it dominated the view from our window and has an inviting crinkly top. After ploughing through lots of boggy bits we wandered round the rough tops and paused awhile at the trig point. Certainly a good viewing spot to wet the appetite for more ambitious routes. Little did I know that this was one of the last photos I was to take.
