The news from Japan is unbearable. It's hard to imagine the suffering and anguish and all I can do is think of them. I'm going to chapel this afternoon and no doubt we'll all be thinking of the Japanese people and 'sending up' some prayers. I was reminded by a fellow blipper of these two items that have been in my home for many years. The jar was given to me as a leaving gift from the staff of the first school I taught in and has special memories. The little bowl was a gift from one of my daughters who bought it in a shop selling only Japanese wares, I think it was in Birmingham. It is also precious. I could never be a 'minimalist', all my stuff has too many sentimental associations and I couldn't part with any of it!
