Homespun Charms

Lincolnshire dyke

This morning the sun was shining and the sky bright blue. Before leaving Lincolnshire I took my brother down the lane to amble into the nature reserve. In spite of the blue sky and sun it was bitterly cold and very windy. The reserve includes a sand dune system and then marshes which stretch ahead and in the flatness beyond you can just about detect the white waves at the edge of the sea. As we left in the car we crossed a small bridge over a dyke and I paused to capture the blueness of the water and sky.
