A humbling day
This very average photo is a shield I won for entering and winning a photo competition organised by a cycling group I am part of.
Charlie Chadwick was a very well known off-road cycling tourist and illustrator. His off-road cycling was not the fat-tyred mountain bikes used today, but skinny-tyred road bike. When the road ran out you cycled as far as you could and then you pushed. The Rough Stuff Fellowship is still going strong with a small but determined membership.
There are some terrific old photos of the membership here
Looking forward to a cycling-camping trip tomorrow night with some of my colleagues from work. The weather is looking good as well. Have a great weekend everyone!
