Surrounded by Blipper friends I have been persuaded to try my hand.  Won't have time to blip every day, but with a holiday to Venice looming, I'm hoping to have learned enough about the intricacies of my new camera to
be able to take some half decent photographs (although I suspect it may remain on "auto" for much of the time!).  I used to have an SLR camera years ago, and never really understood it, so have started again with a compact digital camera to see how I go on.   

That was back in 2013, and although I'm still on here in 2018 I still haven't reached 1000 blips!  Life has sort of got in the way, but it is great to record holidays etc on here.  I lost my lovely husband very suddenly in 2016, and the great community  on Blip was one of the things which helped to keep me going.  I have bought another "compact" camera, but it isn't quite pocket size, so doesn't get an airing very often.  I also have a Nikon mirrorless camera which I'm trying to make sense of!  Never had time to blip everyday whilst working as I often went to work in the dark and returned home in the dark.  Having taken early retirement this year I had hoped to have more time, but that doesn't seem to have happened yet!
