Child of the 50’s, born in Essex and still living here close to Thames Estuary.  
Found Blip by accident and enjoying its introduction to my life.  
Mostly here for the photography but increasingly enjoying journal entries.   
1st camera - Yashica, early 70’s, progressed to Pentax K1000 then big gap before introduction to digital photography with first mobile phone.     Purchased Sony Cybershot in 2009 and joined a Camera Club. Enjoyed it and upgraded to Panasonic Lumix G1, G5, GH3 and latest purchase of G9.  Collected a few lenses along the way.
Some record shots, sometimes trying something new and hoping for signs of improvement.  Blipping daily is helping and hopefully some images may make it to Camera Club competitions and events.
I am an allotment holder and dog owner, now with new puppy Ginny who arrived at beginning of 2021 a year after loosing my previous mini wirehaired Dachshund Tammy.
 A determined non-user of social media I came late to the worlds of Facebook, WhatsApp, Zoom etc.  but all became necessary to continue the running of Camera Club activities in lockdown. 
I am fascinated by all the lovely, amusing, sometimes sad journals.  I may make few comments but it does not mean that comments and responses received are not appreciated. Truly they are.
