Hi there fellow Blipper! 

I'm Veni. I am new to Blip, new to Düsseldorf, and it certainly feels like I am new to the German legal world I left behind about 8 years ago. My partner and I moved to Düsseldorf in December 2020 so I could pursue a two-year legal qualification that would allow me to become a fully qualified lawyer in Germany. The qualification is brutal. It consists of 5 rotations: ((1)working for a judge in civil court, (2) a prosecutor in criminal court, (3) in public administration, (4) a law firm, and (5) in a final field of my choice). Every step of the way is assessed, culminating in two glorious weeks packed with 8 written 5-hour exams (the so-called "second state exam"), which span virtually every area of procedural and substantive law. 

I've joined Blip now in order to maintain a healthy sense of perspective and balance in the next few months and years. It's an incentive to keep my eyes open for scenes and moments worth capturing, to rest and take breaks from my work, and to be reminded through your beautiful and varied blips of the richness of scenes and experiences out there. It broadens the mind, invigorates the spirit and calms the nerves.
