Born and raised in Yorkshire, now retired and resident in glorious West Sussex.

I was diagnosed 7 years ago with inoperable recurring peritoneal/ovarian cancer. Those are not words you want to hear in the same sentence, a bleak outlook. It kind of dominates my life for periods during treatment. Last year, my husband was diagnosed with cancer too, but so far it looks as if his is treatable. It has been a very difficult year, on the up now, as I’ve reached 7 years survival since diagnosis, against all the odds.  looking forward to picking up the threads of old favourites, like Blip [after a year’s absence], travel and meeting up with family.
