Literally meaning Heap and built in a mound like shape to house Buddhistrelics, typically the ashes of important Buddhist monks

This one is at Chithurst Monastery, Cittaviveka, and is set off wonderfully by the carpet of snowdrops.

Called in this afternoon, the dharma hall was totally peaceful and silent. Unlike Eastern Dharma Halls, this has a modern facility that was very welcome today – underfloor heating. [thanks pp!]
