Welcome to my Nature Diary.
I became a member of photo on April 11th 2012.
I'm a retired Senior School Teacher originally from Scotland but now living on the south coast of England beside the sea. We have 2 sons and 3 grandchildren.
I grew up loving to go fishing with my father, and playing tennis with my mother. We always went camping for our summer holiday and almost every weekend during the summer (especially if it was the closed season for fishing).
I'm a university graduate from Reading University and have enjoyed a very active life from the start, first of all with my extended Scottish family in Scotland then, sadly, we left Scotland and went to live in kent.
At that time Kent was a county of outstanding natural beauty with very little to spoil it. Sadly though much of its beauty has been spoiled.
We now live on the south coast of England beside the sea.
My grateful thanks go to all the organisers and workers who are keeping Blip going. I've been a member for many years but at times of Blip almost shutting down I deleted hundreds of my blips, then Blip was rescued ....oops! I had reacted too soon.
Thanks to my regular friends here, and best wishes to the others I've known who have now moved on.
