Nature Diary... First Antirrhinum this year

Quietly opening over the past few days this lovely, delicately coloured Antirrhinum survived last year and quietly continued to grow extra shoots over the winter. Then buds began to form, and now it's a beautiful flower, a shade of pale lemon, leading the way for the other members of its family who also self-seeded throughout last summer but who've shown no signs of new growth yet.
