Welcome to my journal.
Currently in Beijing with a desire to share the hubbub of life in China's capital city.
Until the 6 April 2014 this journal was called Boomtown Shenzhen and for some people Shenzhen may well be a city they've never heard about.
Well it's in Guangdong province, southern China, adjacent to Hong Kong and an hour's train ride from Guangzhou. I has an official population 9 million and counting also if you've got an iPhone this is where it was made.
Shenzhen lies along Shenzhen Bay facing Hong Kong New Territories and it's a city without a real centre. I often describe it as being shaped like a sausage with three core districts Luohu the land border to Hong Kong, Futian the CBD in the middle and Nanshan at the far and where you can take the one hour ferry to central Hong Kong.
I look forward to sharing some of my random photo opportunities and sometimes sharing anecdotes from my equally random experiences in China.
