Well..............I'm a person with too many interests, so life is about stretches of carpentry mixed with grandkids, art, photograpy, furniture building, hobby farming, gardening, hiking and being a part of a community here in the Cowichan Valley. That's the short list.

I immigrated from Holland at age 9 with my family. After spending 3 years in Ontario, we camped our way West across Canada to settle here on Vancouver Island, we fondly remember it as our Centenial project" as 1967 was Canada's 100'th birthday.

I live on a small hobby farm on a quiet gravel road. The property borders the Trans Canada Trail and we often walk the few kilometers South along the trail to the Kinsol Trestle.
