Well, it's been a strange time, hasn't it, and blipfoto has been a solace and the perfect way to record the minutiae of the narrowed horizon, sharing life with now-distant and separated family and friends.

Still blipping, though not every day and using my smartphone rather than the wee Samsung that triggered my joining in the first place. Have come to realize that the what and why are more important to me than the how.
On first joining:
A rather wordy 'about' entry - my apologies, but it's made me think about why I'm enjoying being part of blipfoto so seems worth posting.
I'm a technophobe who has never in all my years done much more than point and click because photos were mainly for remembering the moment, not creative acts. Some of the moments they captured are now also vivid visual memories (my son on his dad's shoulders on a walk in 1996; the hot oleander-filled wadis at Petra nearly 30 years ago). Do I remember so strongly because I saw these things, or because I chose to take a photo of them, or because I have since then seen the photos?
But there has always been a need to properly compose the photo if I could, whether of people or of places,. Now I'm a blipper, and I'm becoming more conscious of what I'm doing each time I choose to take a photo, and then when I have to select one for the journal. Exploring the journals of other blippers, and getting/posting comments is, as others have pointed out, potentially addictive but hopefully also good training.
