Swans at rest
Gathered at the mouth of the Figgate Burn where fresh and salt waters meet.
It is quite definitely autumn:
a curlew among the feeding waders where the tide was retreating at Seafield
swallows gathering
a skein of geese heading south over Arthur's Seat
And a noticeably chilly start to a day that was pleasantly warm within a couple of hours.
