Born in Hertfordshire, but spent most of my life abroad - Germany, Canada, US & Switzerland, in that order. Currently at home in mid-Wales; now in my 7th decade so no doubt this is where I shall stay.  Married happily for 51 years, one son. One dog, Golden Retriever, 2 cats; 5 acres where we grow some fruit and vegetables purely for our own consumption.  In the 8 years we have lived here we have planted close to 1000 trees - bought-in saplings or those Mr C has grown from cuttings, seeds or nuts.  Purely for the love of it.
