Time I revised this profile having passed the one year mark in November 2015.  I would never have believed I would have made so many friends on both sides of the pond, and beyond, simply by posting photographs, but I have.  I treasure all these friendships so much, people whom I have never met but still are warm and sympathetic.  Strange that this has happened in a year when our family has experienced some rough times. I sincerely hope that Blipfoto in some form or another will continue and that these contacts will be maintained.

When I added a revision at the end of my first year, I removed more than I intended from my profile. I should have left in that I have lived in Kansas for almost 50 years, but was born in Morecambe and still have family in England. I thoroughly enjoy seeing posts from Lancashire, Yorkshire and Scotland, the parts of the country with which I am most familiar and love.
I have been interested in photography for as long as  I can remember and some of my earliest memories are of times spent in the dark room with my father, developing photographs. It seemed like magic, watching the image appear in the developing dish!
