Currently a third-year film student at R.I.T., Alex has been a photographer his entire life. Starting at age 5 with a giant, plastic toy 35mm point and shoot camera, he now shoots primarily on a Nikon D90 with a kit lens, a bunch primes lens and a Lens Baby Original.

Alex enjoys shooting everything from landscape and portrait to fine art and abstract. He hopes to expand his lens collection to take advantage of everything his camera has to offer and grow as a photographer. He only occasionally wonders why he isn't matriculated in the photography program located right down the hall from where he takes all of his film classes. More often he tries to apply his understanding of light and composition in still photographs to the motion world. That's why he's glad the D90 can also shoot 720p video (however hokey the feature is).

Blipfoto has played a large role in his growth as a photographer, as it has with many other members of this community, by encouraging him to take his camera everywhere and shoot everyday. He looks forward to his continued participation in this extraordinary project.
