Ruth | a bit more about me

When not behind the camera I’m usually hard at work in the architecture studio. Although from Ballymena, Co.Antrim, I’m primarily based in Edinburgh as I continue my architecture education at the University of Edinburgh. For those of you in the know, I’m currently a Part 2 Masters student (5 years nearly done!).

Outside of photography and uni I have general all-round interest in sport, including an interest in the world of Formula 1. Swimming is my chosen form of exercise and one day I aim to compete in a triathlon. Don’t ask me why, it’s just something I’ve always wanted to do. My faith as a Christian is major part of who I am but music, both playing and listening, also defines me and I’ll even admit to being a bit of a gadget geek.

Style | what I hope to show you

Memories are precious no matter how insignificant they may feel and I love to ensure these snapshots are captured to enjoy for years and generations to come. In as natural a way as possible I aim to capture the essence, energy and emotions of the day, the scene, the person or the moment for this lasting photography.

I’m privileged to have family and friends who encourage and inspire me in this developing hobby but to guarantee the best results for my clients I continually challenge myself to develop and further the skills I currently possess as well as pursue new ones.
