In my head I'm still in my late twenties, but my birth certificate shows a few more decades than that - and my body even more!
I'm a mum, a stepmum, a grandma to three, & have the bestest husband ever .... he's also my carer, as I have MS. It's put paid to any career, & severely curtailed my (our) dreams, but as compensation I've had the time to explore new interests & indulge my hobbies; I started studying towards a BSc with the Open University, & got 2/3 of the way there before I had to drop out for health reasons - luckily I still have (just about) enough brain power to trace our family tree, haunt the internet, do a bit of crafting (cross stitching, cardmaking) & spectator gardening (!!), & to start learning how to capture the pictures I see in my mind's eye. I got my first 'grown-up' camera last year - though it's probably rather wasted on me with my hand tremor (my excuse for any blurry pictures!); I'd also been lusting after a decent telephoto lens, but rather than buying from Amazon I went to a proper camera shop, where I was gutted to discover that I couldn't even pick up the camera once it was attached. So my pictures are limited to what I can take with a basic lens, & very often to what I can see through the window from my bed. But I'm very lucky to look out on a beautiful garden, & since we moved here last year we have a growing number of 'wild' visitors. I hope to introduce you to them all over the coming weeks & months.
