I have been taking pictures since my dad gave me his old C110 film camera. I spent a lot of babysitting money on film and developing. I was able to take a photography class in high school. I really miss using a dark room and watching the images appear on the film.
For the past many, many years I have mostly photographed my three kids and our pets, extended family, and the wildlife that visits. I can't wait for the hummingbirds to return after winter so I can share their amazing colors.
It seems that many of my digital photos are not viewed by many people since I don't print them very often. I came across blipfoto thanks to Emma Davies. I am participating in her online class - A Year with My Camera. It is a free class that I decided to join in order to become more familiar with my Nikon D7500. I feel like my film camera was an extension of my hand but have not gained the full knowledge of the capabilities of this camera. Although the class does not include posting a photo every day, I think this will help me practice more. Plus I enjoy sharing what I see in my little part of the world.
My husband and I are empty nesters (thus my first blip is my puppy). We are planning my oldest daughter's wedding this year. We are less than a year in our home in a new state. I recently lost my mom. Lots of changes. I am using my camera to help bring me to new "normal" in my daily life.
Thank you blippers for sharing your view of the world!
