I'm the sort of person who ends up doing all sorts of unrelated things: I work as a consultant and counsellor for UK researchers, help develop Scottish community cinemas and advise a students union.

I travel a lot, which makes photography a great hobby. I normally shoot with a Pentax K100d Super or K5 and my small collection of primes, but most of the photos on my journal are shot and postprocessed on an iPhone 4 using Camera+ as a conscious effort to restrict the technical choices and concentrate on finding the images.

Eventually, I hope to play more with lighting, and I have a few project ideas ready for when I have a modicum of free time!
