Well I made it through the first month so it seems to be a good time to jot a bio.

Having a business and finance background, I spend most of my working life indoors, but I love the outdoors and spend as much time as possible walking, particularly in the peak district.

I realised early on that trying to capture landscapes with a point and short was not very successful, which led me on to buying a DSLR. I soon discovered I needed educating on how to use it properly, and after a few courses I started in earnest.

I was introduced to Blipfoto whilst on a photography holiday in the Lake District; the recommendation to give it a go to improve photographic skills by looking for something every day seemed like sound advice at the time, however I didn't realise how addictive it was going to be.
