I don't know why I never wrote my Bio before now! I actually thought I had - better late than never though.
It's November 2020 - the worst year I can remember in my 66 years - the year of Covid 19. We haven't seen our families for months and one lot for a whole year. We are having to isolate - mainly on our narrowboat 'Fiddlesticks'

I was born in Lancaster but brought up on Merseyside.
I left there when I was 20 and went to Köln in Germany to be an au pair girl.
I ended up marrying my first husband there and we had 3 children. I lived there for 10 years then we upped sticks and moved as a family to Dumfries in Scotland.
After 10 years there we split up.
I had started my nurse training and worked in Dumfries Royal Infirmary for 20 years, mainly in surgical wards and maxillo facial clinics.
I took early retirement in 2010.

Frank and I got together in 1997 and 24 years later we're still together, married for 8 years and have a bunch of gorgeous grandkids from our respective children.
2 years ago Frank and I moved down to North Yorkshire - near Skipton - to be near to 'Fiddlesticks' which we bought in 2017. We used to come down here for holidays in the caravan we used to have and on one of those trips we saw the boat was for sale and bought it on a whim! We had to sell loads of stuff including the caravan, Franks's motorbike, Frank's sailing boat and also had to cash in savings and pensions. It was the best thing we ever did! Earlier that same year we got our gorgeous Romanian rescue dog Bella May. She is now 4 years old and such a darling, she loves everyone, especially children. She can be funny with some dogs though :-[]

My hobbies include - sewing, knitting, crochet, playing ukulele and singing,
Drawing/painting, writing poetry, reading, going for walks, gardening, doing our ancestry and maybe more but I can't think!

For the past 5 years I have been strict vegan and before that I was vegetarian for 30+ years. I love animals too much to eat them!
