I live in a small town on the coast of Maine. Out running with a few girlfriends in the early hours, only days before the year end, we dreamed up the idea of a photo a day, which led to the Blip discovery. Blip love was born.
I intend to notice the ordinary bits of life that indeed are extraordinary if I stop long enough to really see them. My father died last year. He was too young. Too good. Too alive. His death shock me up. It has made aliveness matter more than before.
What's important is sometimes the rising moon over Casco Bay, sometimes one of my daughters' goofy faces for the camera. Sometimes it's more personal, more internal. I try to be honest. I try to capture what's real and true.
