I live by the beach with my husband and two sons. It couldn't be more different from my earlier life in NYC, where I had a career, a cramped apartment, and possibly a mild case of Seasonal Affective Disorder.

I have never been consistent with keeping journals. I have been particularly bad about chronicling my life since becoming a mom. I've got family photos out the wazoo, but no context to put them in. So I love the idea of posting an editorialized photo a day -- it has encouraged me to look at my daily world and capture the images that have meaning to me. And one day, when my sons are older, they will see my journal and perhaps gain a new perspective on their childhood, and my motherhood.
