Removal men
Today was another hard days work in Christchurch
We got in contact with a single mum who's house was in a bad way and needed some assistance, We arrived and began to empty her house.
It was in a state. walls were supported buy wood and roofs were crumpling. We managed to get all her valuable possessions outside into her garage
Raw sewage had come up into the streets and the drains were blocked so we cleared them and it started to flow down luckily.
Severe weather warnings have been issued for our distraught city bringing high winds. this is a huge problem for rescue personnel as it could make condemned buildings even more dangerous. Another problem is that the 180,000 tones of silt in the city will be brought into the air and cause respiratory problems to some people
Good news today though, The New Zealand Lottery Commission will donate 50% of every ticket purchased this week after a Facebook group was put together asking them to donate the jackpot to christchurch.
