Choices, Choices

Today was one of those days; the kind of day where it feels like you're standing at the base of a mountain...and the mountain just keeps getting taller and harder to navigate.

Usually when I'm feeling this way, I feel the need to bake, clean or exercise. I chose Option 2 and was still feeling dissatisfied. Lucky for me I've been blessed with great friends with timely words and a roommate who can take a backseat and let me have a moment (or two or three...).

The mountain in front of me hasn't shrunk or gotten easier to navigate, but in the planning process I've found time for Hazelnut Brownies. I'm meeting up with my dear, sweet Friend G, whose only request amidst all my baking was for some brownies. At the last minute, I decided to add some leftover hazelnuts to a simple brownie recipe to give it a little texture. We'll see how it's received. Hopefully the roads will be clear in the morning so I can make the drive down and deliver. :)
