Annie's In Oregon

Coffee and a Photo Shoot

Not so much like a "Photo Shoot", but more like a, "photo, shoot!"

A delightful time chatting with our Jen this morning while she enjoyed a wonderful cup of coffee from her mum in Oregon. The light through the hibiscus was screaming, "blip me! blip me!", so I gave in. Well, it's amazingly difficult to hold a cell phone up between your cheek and shoulder and manage an old, not so easy to set up, tripod at the same time. Then there was the card table that was set up in the way and much too difficult to move while holding the tripod, camera and cell phone, so I just wiggled around it, ending up with only 2 of 3 legs of the tripod actually touching the floor.

Meanwhile, the treasured mommy on the other end of the phone was managing little children who needed her attention and we giggled and laughed and dropped the phone and (I assume) sipped the coffee and laughed some more. Well, I had to actually do some fussing with the photo before I posted because the crisp clear image I kept seeing in the viewer became a little pale every time I snapped the picture. Of course, the light changed moment by moment and demanded changes to the settings and that was just a little too difficult as I precariously juggled it all.

The most important things were attended to, the giggling, the encouraging of the children and a whole lot of love that passed through the phone. Oh!! I forgot to ask how "Aunt Annie" was getting along with the kids! Last I heard, she was well received and I'm sure she's doing fine.

Thanks for the call, Jen, this blip's for you. :-)
