The Larder
Were right at the height of the deer stalking season at the moment with the sound of high velocity shots ringing round the hills a few miles from the house. Surprisingly stalking here is not only the pursuit of toffs, king's and princes, and we've had all of those around at some time, in fact, any one can have a go if you know the right people.
Although this may look like an old tin shed it is, in fact, a traditional game larder, where the deer carcasses are hung to until they cool, age a little and ready to butcher.
I spotted it on the road down to Bellaburgh today, where, following a load of extremely high powered and important meetings, I'll be hanging out with Her Bellaship for a few days.
