Heron Corn Mill

Took a spin out to Beetham nr Milnthorpe nr Kendal. Twas a bit grey and dreich for a long walk so we pottered along the coast. Tide was very big and we had difficultly in getting around one spot good job there was no wind otherwise it would have pushed it further up. We visited the famous fairy steps and then back to the Heron Corn Mill which is water powered and undergoing a restoration. Last year they were building a small hydro plant on the river which is now finished. Unfortunately there was no one around to ask some probing questions.
