Residents of Scone Palace
Meet Major and June, they told us their ancestors hailed from the Mediterranean, but they've called Scone Palace "home" for years. They like being together but don't mind sharing their home with other animals and love the company of people. They had such a kindly nature and even suggested that we take a photograph of them as a souvenir of our visit. For her part Mrs L told them how pleased she was that the photo she took yesterday of Birthday Boy got a 5 star rating.
Of course it wasn't for the scintillating conversation with the donkeys that we visited Scone Palace. Those that follow this journal will remember that Hawfinches had been discovered at Bramfield Church, but now we're in Perth we thought we'd visit probably the most reliable site for them in Britain and as you can see from RCB's Hawfinch, we were not disappointed.
