Falling Down
Damn these teeth. H was crying and wriggling in her sleep again, clawing at her mouth, and I had to wake her up as she was so distressed. This was at 2.00am. After a couple of hours of reading books, feeding her Calpol, and repeatedly trying to settle her back in her cot, through to the spare bedroom we went. So we were both tired this morning and had to rush to Gymboree.
In the afternoon, I had to wait in for an engineer to come and fix our Virgin signal, then it was off to the dentist for me and H. I got a check up, and the dentist managed to get his fingers in her mouth long enough to count her 16 teeth, and she only gave him a wee nip! She was super well behaved and charmed all the girls who work there as they were entertaining her whilst I had my teeth polished. She was rewarded with Winnie The Pooh stickers and they were impressed that she could point to all of the characters.
On our return home, we went out the back to play in the garden, and all was fine until H took a tumble and grazed her hands on the ground. Cue lots of tears, but Mummy made it all better by letting her splash about in a basin on the kitchen floor, and giving her some chocolate buttons for being a brave soldier (just don't tell the dentist!). I needn't have bothered though as she was quite happy licking the soapy suds from her hands. Who needs chocolate when you can lick Radox soap?
