Down the Drain
All my time today seemed to vanish down the drain.
A physio appointment, with my boy this morning confirmed what we suspected, that he should stop sport for the time being, That's not going down too well. My boy lives to play footie. His world is at an end - or so it would appear to him. I hate being the bad parent in all this, the one who says well its official. No point arguing with the expert just got to suck it up. He will be climbing the walls by Sunday. We have to ice his knees regularly and I have to massage an inch and a half of tendon just below his knee caps for 15 minutes a day. That's got to be worth a blip, pity were not still looking for body parts.
My girl was at the orthodentist this afternoon. Her teeth are still stuck in the roof of her mouth and our attempts to pull them into place are being thwarted by a wire which continually snaps and releases the tension. So 9 weeks on from the last appointment and they haven't budged.
In between I was catching up on things. I managed a half hour stroll to find this drain. I love that the grate and stand are inscribed by the manufacturer and that they remain intact - well almost. I found a number of things in the local university grounds, where we have been know to liberate apples. It's good to know I have something in the bag for another busy day.
Thankfully tonight I am having some girls round for movies and fizz. We have by far the largest television. Not my hearts desire, but very useful when watching a movie, but don't let on I said so.
